D. Pharma (Diploma in Pharmacy)

The D. Pharma program is a diploma-level course aimed at students who wish to enter the field of pharmacy and healthcare. This program provides foundational knowledge and practical skills related to pharmaceutical sciences, including drug formulation, dispensation, and patient care. The course covers subjects such as Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutical Microbiology, and Hospital Pharmacy.

Throughout the D. Pharma program, students receive training on drug interactions, dosage forms, regulatory aspects of pharmaceuticals, and the ethics of pharmacy practice. Practical training and internships in hospitals, pharmacies, or pharmaceutical companies enable students to gain hands-on experience in managing prescriptions, advising patients, and ensuring the safe use of medicines.

Upon completion of the D. Pharma, graduates can work as Pharmacists in hospitals, retail pharmacies, or the pharmaceutical industry. The diploma also serves as a stepping stone for further studies, such as a B. Pharma (Bachelor of Pharmacy) or specialized training in areas like clinical research or regulatory affairs.

     

  • Eligibility -Students must have studied PCB or PCM (Chemistry, Physics, Biology or Mathematics) as main subjects and scored a minimum of 50% in the passing examination to be eligible to pursue this course.
